I work out of Bochum for teams across North Rhine-Westphalia. The short hop to Essen, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, and Cologne makes same-day on-site work possible without losing a travel day. If you need a workshop, pair-coding session, or architecture review on short notice, that usually fits.
